Greetings to the 2025 FH+E Teams,
Here’s the latest from the SAE onregistration:
Using the list of the 2025 Formula Hybrid +Electric (FH+E) teams, the SAE has created a list of teams for the 2026 FH+E Event. If your team did not compete in 2025, contact the SAE support team and they will set you up.
Class Codes
There are two class codes for the FH+E event(Hybrid = HYBRD and Hybrid Electric = HELCT). Note that for the 2026 season, there are a total of three class codes used in the registration system (HYBRD,HELCT, and EV for FSAE Electric in Michigan).
Team Names and Distinction
While most of the FH+E teams are Electric, the teams have been labeled as Hybrid at this time to help give adistinction. FH+E has provided a list of all the teams that are expectedto participate in the FH+E competition including team names and class types. The SAE will be working to ensure that the FH+E and FSAE team classificationsmatch.
Lottery Window
Please reach out to the SAE support team for the Registration Authorization Code so that your team can be affiliated with the right team ahead of the lottery opening on Thursday. Note that the lottery is open for two weeks, so teams don’t need to panic but you should make sure this is taken care of as soon as possible. The SAE notes that it doesn't matter if teams join the lottery on October 9th or October 23rd, their chances will be the same.
Team Spot Reservations
We have sent over a list of FH+E reservation spot holds for 2026: the top three Hybrid and the top six Electric finishers from 2025. Those teams still need to enter the lottery - if you aren’t in the lottery, the system can’t put your team in the reserved spot.
