Notes
(1) All six teams started the endurance event and two of them, McGill and Florida Institute of Technology, completed the total 22 km. According to Steve Daum of the SAE, the 33% endurance finish rate is very respectable for a first year competition especially one involving extremely complex vehicles that incorporate hybrid, mechanical and electrical, drive systems.
(2) Three of the competitors, Florida Institute of Technology, Illinois Institute of Technology and Yale University, represented their school's first entry into any Formula SAE competition.
(3) Florida Institute of Technology ran as a "Hybrid in Progress". Dartmouth car #18 experienced serious problems with their electrical system and after a couple of days hard work by the team eventually ran as a demonstrator in endurance without their electrical storage system connected. Illinois Institute of Technology ran as a plug-in hybrid. The other three teams ran as hybrids.
(4) Next year's Formula Hybrid Competition is scheduled to be held May 5,6,7, 2008 at the New Hampshire International Speedway in Loudon, NH.
