Hello every one, due to a last minute change , our faculty adviser will not attend 2012 comeptition.
is it problematic?
Therefore , there will be nobody except students that may attend the VIP reception may 1st.
Is it possible?

I don't think our faculty advisor has ever been to the competition, it's not a problem.

Our adviser is not attending either. We have a post-Doc and grad students that are supposed to keep everyone in line. I don't think our faculty realize those are the guys who will be enjoying themselves the most

We prefer that a faculty adviser attends with the team, but it is not mandatory.
Each team does need a Rules Safety Officer (RSO) and it is extremely important that this person be qualified for the task. Review rule 2.1.9 - the organizers take this position very seriously.
